Our Story
A family kitchen, fifteen years on
For more than fifteen years, Hemani Mehmi Indian Restaurant has been a Liverpool landmark for authentic, full-flavoured Indian cooking. Locals keep coming back for our hot and spicy Aloo Paneer, charcoal-kissed Tandoori Chicken and slow-simmered Lamb Korma — dishes made the same way our family has cooked them for generations.

Our house specialty is the tandoor — a traditional clay oven that gives our breads, kebabs and tikkas their signature smokiness. The oven runs hot all day, sealing in the char that defines real Indian cooking.
